Imagine the universe, 10 billion years ago. Before the earth formed. But in the void of space, all the gases and materials that would one day create you are already present.

Books are like this too.

Everything you need to write the book is already inside.

In other words, you always had the power.

I have noticed a trend while I’m writing and revising my current book. It doesn’t matter how easy or difficult a project is. At the end of the process, I’m going to have a ton of leftover pages. Kind of like when you put together furniture and you have a bunch of important looking bits and doodads in the plastic baggie.

But whereas the excess parts will go into my junk drawer never to be seen again. The snow drift of pages I made mean something.

I have been doing some decluttering of my living space. I gave away a couple of bags of clothes. Had the carpet cleaned. Even rearranged furniture.
